Event Rules

  • To help stop the spread of Covid-19 in our community, masks are mandatory for all people attending a shoot who are not being photographed – this includes photographer, assistants, chaperones, and anybody else who may be on set.
  • There is no maximum number of shoots per person during the event, but there is a minimum – these are assigned at random. Be ambitious, but realistic!
  • Shoot assignments must take priority. If you are unable to complete an assigned shoot for any reason, please let the organisers know. We deliberately mix up skill levels for these assignments so that newer artists have the opportunity to learn from seasoned veterans, and vice versa. If you neglect your assignments in favour of shooting with other participants you may be banned from future events.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with your shoot partners about how many photos to expect, and when these will be delivered.
  • Our deadline for image previews/teasers to be delivered to models is three weeks after the event, for final sets to be edited and delivered is three months after the event. If you are unable to meet this deadline please communicate this to your shoot partner. If you have not received your photos after this time, please let the organisers know. Models, please respect the fact that your photographer may have other work to complete and respect their given timeline.
  • Failure to deliver images without explanation may result in you being banned from future events. If you are unable to deliver images for any reason, please communicate this to your shoot partner and to the organisers.
  • Absolutely NO realistic military attire or weaponry in public places, including travel to and from a shoot. You can still shoot this style of costume, but you need to arrange a private location for your shoot and get permission from that location.
  • WCPF aims to provide a safe space for all, and we will not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or hate speech of any kind. Inappropriate conduct may result in your removal from the event and a ban from future events.
  • Raceface makeup or costume (blackface, brownface, etc) will absolutely not be tolerated. There is never a need to use another person’s ethnicity as a costume. This includes both makeup and masks.
  • Costumes must not be offensive or discriminatory in nature – any imagery or symbols related to hate groups (including historical figures – eg swastikas, Nazi uniforms) is not permitted at the event. Boudoir/lingerie costumes are permitted but must be shot in private.
  • There is no minimum shoot time – you will need to arrange shoot duration with your shoot partner.
  • Do not solicit nudes or lewds from participants. If you are interested in creating boudoir or nude artwork, post in the event group and let people volunteer.
  • This is an R18 event, and if you’d like to shoot lewds/nudes during the event that is up to you – however please be smart, be safe, be professional, and please don’t break any laws. WCPF reserves the right to request that the event logo not be used on explicit content shared online.
  • Any shoot concept or imagery that conflicts with New Zealand law is prohibited, and no responsibility will be taken by the organisers for participants landing themselves in legal trouble.
  • Respect the locations you work in. Clean up after yourself, and leave it tidy for the next people to use the space – this includes the general public as well as other event participants.
  • Besides the registration fees for the event, you are not expected to pay anything to participate in shoots during WCPF. You are free to hire private venues however this is not compulsory, and should be arranged in consultation with your shoot partner.
  • Respect your shoot partner’s time. Be punctual, and if you need to take a break during a shoot please communicate this clearly.
  • WCPF reserves the right to re-post any images posted to social media shot during the event, or supplied to the organisers as part of the registration process, with full credits to the artists involved, in order to promote the event. This may include sharing on social media, artist spotlights in the lead up to the event, and inclusion on the WCPF website galleries.
